LifeVac EMS kit is designed specifically for professional first responders such as Police, Fire, EMT and Paramedics.
The LifeVac is a non-invasive, non-powered, portable ACD (Airway Clearance Device) developed to remove an object or food that has become lodged in a person’s throat or windpipe causing airway obstruction. Its unique design provides choking victims (including small children, elderly, disabled and obese people, and others) with a new critical tool for use when the Abdominal Thrust Maneuver is not possible or not recommended and if standard choking protocol is unsuccessful.
-
The LifeVac rescue suction device is non-invasive, non-powered, and portable, and is significantly more successful in removing foreign body airway obstructions than traditional abdominal thrusts.
-
The device is designed with a patented one-way valve that prevents air from pushing the object or food downward. This creates outbound suction to remove the obstruction and clear the victim’s airway.
-
The negative pressure generated by the force of the suction is three times greater than the highest recorded choke pressure.
-
The device can be used on adults and children (starting at 22 pounds) and can be self-administered.
